Kayin Lam studied Cello with acclaimed Cellist Huang Yunyu from the Taipei Cello Ensemble. His Piano studies were guided by the renown Pianist Wen Wen Chen in Taipei.
He later pursued higher levels of performance training under the mentorship of renowned educator Dr. Ivan Miller.
MY STORY
林家然曾跟隨台北大提琴合奏團的著名大提琴家黃韻宇學習大提琴。在台北，他也在知名鋼琴家陳攸攸的指導下學習鋼琴。其後他在著名教育家伊凡·米勒博士的指導下追求更高層次的表演訓練。
林也是本港一家知名法國餐廳的常駐演奏家，向大眾展露他的音樂才華。
林目前擔任堅尼地城市交響樂團的首席大提琴手，活躍於各類表演活動，包括為香港新興經濟協會演出、由獅子會組織的慈善籌款活動以及四季酒店等知名地點舉行的婚禮等。
Lam currently serves as Principal Cellist for the Kennedy City Symphony Orchestra, an acclaimedregional orchestra. He is an active performer, appearing at a variety of events and venues.
This includes performances for the Hong Kong Emerging Economic Association, charity fundraisers organized by the Lions Club, and weddings at prestigious locations like the Four Seasons Hotel.
Lam is also a resident performer at a renowned French restaurant inthe city, showcasing his musical talents on a regular basis.
Lam has been dedicated to music education for over 15 years. Currently, Lam holds the position of Cello Instructor at the C.C.C. Mong Man Wai College. In addition, Lam teaches Piano at the Hong Kong Music Development Association and Musik Angel Music School, primarily focusing on the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music curriculum.
Beyond the ABRSM program, Lam also tailors his instruction to students' interests, teaching popular songs and film scoring. In terms of technique, Lam's approach emphasizes developing strong fundamentals, including performance technique, intonation/tone quality, sight-reading, and musical phrasing.In addition to Piano and Cello, Lam is also proficient in Acoustic Guitar.
Lam offers numerous public performance opportunities for his students, believing that learning music extends beyond playing at home. Sharing music with an audience is a valuable experience that fosters important growth in children.
林致力於音樂教育已超過15年，目前在中華基督教會蒙民偉書院擔任大提琴導師。此外，林在香港音樂發展協會和Musik Angel音樂學校教授鋼琴，主要著重於英國皇家音樂學院相關課程。
林為學生提供眾多公開演奏機會，他認為學習音樂不僅僅是在家中彈奏。與觀眾分享音樂是一種寶貴的經歷，可以促進孩子們的重要成長。
He regularly encourages students to participate actively in music competitions several times each year, leading to impressive results, including numerous championships in international competitions for both Cello and Piano.
他定期鼓勵學生每年積極參加音樂比賽，取得令人印象深刻的成績，包括在國際大提琴和鋼琴比賽中多次獲得冠軍。

He received his certification and regularly tunes and maintains pianos for several prestigious concert halls andrecording studios in the local area. Lam takes great pride in his work and is known for his meticulous attention to detail, ensuring each piano he services is in optimal playing condition.
